Old Alresford Place is a large comfortable house set in five acres of garden in a small Hampshire village just nine miles from Winchester.   Dating back to 1630, and originally built as a country parish rectory, it later became the home of The Revd George Sumner, whose wife, Mary, founded The Mothers� Union in 1876.
